  1. Live Marker for Programapplicability. Often we need screen fields to display only for certain kinds of programs. The Programtype Live Marker is good for this sometimes. But many times we want only a subset of the whole programtype. For example, we have different types of Emergency Shelter which we differentiate with Programapplicability. We have over 200 Emergency Shelters that are Crisis or Bridge. In order to display a screen field just for them we must make a separate constraint item for each of those 200 programids. And then maintain that list as programs are added

  2. If the SNN Field is entered in as zeros, have the system automatically delete them when someone clicks to edit them. This will allow them to type the new one without any confusion that they actually have to delete the zeros first if they want to change it.

  3. System notifications for Updated Referrals and New Referral Notes are sent only to the staff member who created the referral. This is to request that these automated system notifications also be sent to the Staff Member at the Referred-To Program. Notes are also only visible. This would improve communication between different teams and save referred-to agencies from clicking through each client on the referral list checking for updates.

  4. Update the Client Privacy functionality to allow for marking clients private even when they are associated with multiple agencies. Currently, this option is disabled if the client has multiple agencies working with them, and there are cumbersome workarounds to get the client data protected when needed. This enhancement should allow us to mark the client private, and then data will be limited to the agencies that are currently working with the client. Our local consent revocation policies state that any previously shared information will still be shared if a client revokes consent, and data will, moving forward, be limited to…

  6. The ability to run Program Review Data Quality reports for all programs in an agency would be very helpful. We have agencies with 10+ programs and having to run reports for each program is extremely time consuming. If we had the ability to choose "all programs" it would save me multiple hours per week.

  7. This year, because of COVID, HUD has allowed communities to pull unsheltered PIT data from HMIS rather than conduct an in-person count. In California, 7 of the 44 CoCs chose to go this route. It would be helpful to have a pre-programmed system-wide report in Clarity to look at enrollments in SSO, SO, and CE programs where the prior living situation is unsheltered. There are other uses for such a report beyond the PIT, such as with identifying individuals for CE or for community-wide by-name lists.

  11. I’m reaching out about an issue we've been dealing with related to account reactivations for HMIS users. This was actually suggested a few years ago by Joel Remigio here: https://ideas.bitfocus.com/forums/930328-clarity-human-services/suggestions/44574099-extend-duration-of-time-period-for-reactivated-sta.

    I’d love it if we could revisit the idea and explore a way to make the process a bit smoother.

    We often receive tickets from HMIS users whose accounts have been deactivated due to inactivity. While it’s easy to reactivate their accounts, the issue is that the reactivation doesn’t "stick" unless the user logs in by midnight of the same day.

  12. Currently, when you go to the "Referrals" tab from the client profile (to make a "Direct Referral"), you can filter by agency or program category to find the desired program. Users often have to wade through multiple pages of programs using either of these filter options (especially when they are making a referral to a program under a larger agency). It would be great if users could filter or search directly for a specific Program (e.g., add an optional sub-filter if they first choose to filter by agency, or add a search bar similar to the client search bar).

  13. Currently if you deny a Direct Referral, you have the option to reassign the client to any Community Queue, regardless of if the client has an assessment for that queue (or any assessment at all). This results in an uncontrolled backdoor to ANY Community Queue.

    As our community has expanded the use of Direct Referrals, we are getting individuals placed on queues that are supposed to have high thresholds for placement, or that are only intended for certain subpopulations. This function subverts the logic that you need an assessment to be placed on a queue, which is consistent everywhere else…

  14. This is a request to highlight required textbox fields red when left blank. When other field types are required, a user cannot move on and Clarity highlights the missing field in red. However, when it is a textbox, there is no indication that the text box is the missing field.

  15. Add an auto save (example auto save every 2 minutes) function for Clarity notes. Reason for needed feature; in a fast-paced client environment where ringing of phones, walk-ins and appointments- easily distracted while inputting notes. Clarity closes out without saving notes. Feature will auto-save notation before Clarity closes out.

  16. When staff are manually deactivated, it would be great if the system automatically generated a report with the staff person's client list. You cannot run the canned report for the client list if the staff is deactivated. And sometimes clients are not re-assigned after staff turnover.

  18. When custom fields are added in Clarity Human Services, they are not available to customers with the Customer Data Model (SQL) unless they specifically ask Bitfocus to add them, one field at a time. It would be great if these fields could "automatically" be added and available in the Customer Data Model without having to have a separate request. This automation could occur on a regular daily/weekly/monthly schedule which makes most sense.

  19. For VSPs who use system admins outside of their agency, there are concerns with client privacy based on this line from the database manual.

    "Access to a comparable database is controlled by the VSP. Only staff who work directly with survivors and have a “need to know” professional basis, their supervisors, and agency administrators should be able to view specific client data"

    With this in mind, a new access role for admins of comparable databases using Clarity is being suggested. this access role should allow admins to log into Clarity and pull aggregate reports such as APRs, SPMs, LSA data…

  20. Currently, Inventory screens are system-level screens that cannot be copied. For a statewide instance of Clarity, each CoC operates as a separate system. Each CoC manages its housing stock, they have separate CE systems, and reporting is completed by each CoC.

    Each CoC may want to implement Inventory but need to record different information using custom fields on the housing inventory screens.

    Since the Inventory screens cannot be copied, each CoC would either need to agree on a set of custom fields, see each other's fields, or use complex constraints and configurations to hide the fields from each CoC, making…
